Japanese A5 Wagyu Chuck (Delmonico) Steak
Japanese A5 Wagyu Chuck (Delmonico) Steak
If you’ve wanted to try Japanese A5 but don’t want to break the bank, the perfect barrier to entry may be the A5 (Delmonico) Chuck steak. Coming from the chuck roast, the price point is a lot less than your average filet mignon or New York strip. Chuck steaks are typically a little more tough but since it’s A5, that tenderness is absolutely present and still boasts a nice beefy flavor.
Preferred Cooking Method: The preferred cooking method for the A5 Delmonico is to sear it! Make sure to set your pan over high heat and drop some oil in! To meet your desired doneness, we recommend using a meat thermometer to keep an eye on the internal temperature of your meat.
Preferred Cooking Time: The A5 Chuck steak should be seared for about 1 minute on each side. Allow the steaks to rest for at least 5 minutes before serving! Please don't forget to bring to room temperature before cooking.
